How is AI changing our spaces while preserving the human role ?

This was the question asked at the conference organised by Ibiza and Be Brandon, in collaboration with ADN, on the challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in living and commercial environments.

To explore the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming our living and business environments, a number of experts have been invited to share their views and expertise.

Valentin Rançon, Head of Innovation at Ekstend, takes a nuanced view of Artificial Intelligence. According to him, if it is well thought out and well integrated, it can be a powerful lever for improving our physical spaces.

It does not dehumanise the experience; on the contrary, it enriches it by making places more fluid, more efficient, and better connected to users’ expectations. He insists on the importance of developing AI that supports the human being, without ever replacing it, by placing itself at the service of sensitive experience and emotions.

In his opinion, the challenge is not to make the human element disappear behind the technology, but to enhance the quality of interactions through discreet and relevant augmented intelligence.
